My best tips to brew coffee. I gonna talk main 4 things
1. Selecting type of coffee bean There are three basic regions: The Americas coffee is flavors are clean, bright and mild, The African and Arabian coffee is flavors are fruity, winey and exotic and The Pacific coffee is flavors are earthy, smooth and savory. Make your choice. Bean Roaster type? Full City (light), Vienna (medium), Espresso (medium-dark), French Roast (dark) or Extra Dark French (dark)? Which type do you flavor? My basic tip, I like to buy fresh coffee in small amounts just been roasted, use it in a given period of time. Normally fresh coffee quality is about 1-2 weeks. I consider the packaging also. Don’t forget to keep it in an airtight container. 2. Grinding The size of the grind is affect to the taste of your coffee. Coffee tastes bitter, it may be overextracted, or grind is too fine. The contrast, coffee tastes flat, it may be underextracted, meaning that your grind is too coarse. I suggest to grind it with a burr grinder and brew it as soon as possible. Try this tip I can garuntee. Anyway when you buy coffee, You can tell what the coffee equipment you use, a plunger pot? A flat drip filter? A cone drip filter? A gold mesh filter? So the sellers will grind it for the preparation method properly. |

3. Brewing
Normally the ratio of ingredient: pouring ¾ cup of water (6 ounces) through 1-2 tablespoons of ground coffee. Water, Use fresh water free of any odd tastes or odors. Do not use distilled or softened water. If you are brewing the coffee brewing coffee machines and coffee brewing devices. We have to maintain a water temperature between 195 – 205 degrees Fahrenheit for optimal extraction. Too hot will also cause a loss taste of coffee. While too cold water will result in flat, underextracted coffee. If you are brewing the coffee manually, have to use boil water, but do not overboil water. Turn off the heat and allow the water to rest a minute before pouring it over the grounds. Considering brewing coffee machines and coffee brewing devices? Nowadays they are invented and sold worldwide. Which is suitable for you with reasonable price? If you got one, follow its manaul telling what you should do. Anyway I have basic maintainance tip. The most important is enough clean yet? I always rinse the with clear and hot water, then dry it with clean towel or paper tissue and make sure there is nothing left on any part of brewing coffee machines and coffee brewing devices before and after brewing. The amount of brewing time that mean the water is in contact with the coffee grounds time. Which taste of your coffee? In a drip system, the brewing time should be approximately 5 minutes. If you are making your coffee using a plunger pot, the brewing time should be 2-4 minutes. Espresso, the brewing time is short for only 20-30 seconds. If the taste of your coffee is not proper, it is possible that you are either overextracting that mean your brewing time is too long or underextracting that mean your brewing time is short. So now you can brew Which tastes perfectly! 4.Serving |
